Is anyone else having a problem with these or is it just me?
The "OPEN" lights at the Diner indicate a topic which you have not yet read — each time you login.
However, the problem I am currently having is that, after I click on an unread topic and post in that same topic, the indicator is still "on", indicating that I have not yet read said topic!

Larry, I have had the same problem. What I do now is to click on the name of the section to exit from it (in this case it would be "Technical Support"), and that seems to work.

Phyllis,
In order to send me a PM, you can do one of two things:
1) Click on my display name ("Larry's 66 Diner"); when my profile page loads on your screen, click "Send Personal Message".
2) Go directly to your PM area; click COMPOSE; then, in the "To:" field, type the username "admin".
User names and Display names are very different. When sending someone a PM using method #2 above, you must always use a member's username — which is the name the person had chosen when registering at the Diner. To find a person's user name, simply click on the member's name; the username is in parentheses, located immediately behind the member's display name.
NOTE: The reason you may have some confusion with this is because I do not allow members to change their names here at the Diner. Therefore, most members' User names and Display names should be the same. Since I am the root administrator, I am forced to use the login "admin" to access the control features of the message board; however, "admin" is hardly an appealing name at the Diner.
